Patricia Kennedy Herkes, born on June 29, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Picayune, Mississippi. Her life began and took root in New Orleans, where she was born to her loving parents, Richard Walker Kennedy and Mary Agnes Kennedy, both of whom preceded her in passing. 

Pat was a devoted wife to Leon Henry Herkes Jr., who has also passed. Their marriage was marked by abiding love and enduring partnership, and together they built a life filled with shared joys and quiet strength.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Mary Ann Kennedy; her brother, Richard Kennedy (Tina);  sister-in-law, Anna Herkes Bordelon; sister-in-law Cheryl Caro (Doug), two nieces Jeannine Gendusa, Jennifer Woods, three nephews Casey Kennedy, Willy Kennedy, Ben Kennedy, three great nephews Kole Pennington, Kyzer Woods, Kolston Woods, and a great niece Kailee Jallans. While she will be missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Patricia Kennedy Herkes’s journey on earth has come to a peaceful close, but her spirit remains a source of comfort to all who knew her.
