Rex Allen Jenkins

October 28, 1958 — January 2, 2026

Carriere, Mississippi

Rex Jenkins entered the gates of heaven on January 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by faith, service, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

Rex was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi, and moved to Pearl River County at the age of seven, where he spent most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1980 as an E4 Sonar Technician aboard the USS John Hancock. In October of 1979, he married the love of his life, Darian Williams. Together, they shared 46 years of marriage—a lifelong bond built on love, commitment, and faith.

Rex and Darian raised three children—two daughters and a son—and were blessed with nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He dedicated 29 years of faithful service to Coast Electric, working from January 7, 1992, until January 5, 2021. He began his career in the Right Away Department and later served as District Warehouse Coordinator before retiring.

A man of strong faith, Rex was a member of Liberty Baptist Church from the ages of seven to twenty and later attended Hickman’s Church from age twenty-one until his passing. He was known for his mechanical skill and natural talent in carpentry. With patience and care, Rex could repair almost anything and took great pride in completing most home improvements himself.

In his final weeks, Rex and his beloved wife Darian were surrounded by love and prayers from their children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. He received exceptional, loving care from his son, whose selfless devotion was a true blessing to the family.

Rex is lovingly remembered by his wife, Darian Jenkins; his children, Stephanie (Jeremie) Mason, Brandy (Jeremy) Stockstill, and Bo (Jessica) Jenkins; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jericho, Hailey, Lucy, Brady, Treven, Bentley, Jessy, and Molly-Kate; and his great-grandson, Abraham.

A visitation for Rex will be on Tuesday January 6, 2026 for 9AM followed by a funeral for 11AM officiated by Bro. Allen Hickman at Resurrection Life Worship Center located at 795 Memorial Blvd Picayune, MS 39466. Burial to follow at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
