Robert Mason Beech passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. Robert was born in Picayune, Mississippi to James Paul Beech, Sr. and Jessie Lee Hudson Beech, on October 15, 1950.
Robert spent his younger years in Picayune and Pearl River, Louisiana and attended both Picayune Memorial High School and Slidell High School. He worked as a carpenter and later, as a medical transportation driver. In his free time, Robert enjoyed taking trips and going on adventures with his brother James and his family.
In May, 1993, Robert married the love of his life, Charlott Kay Mullen. Robert and Kay were inseparable and enjoyed traveling together and spending time with family. They were both active in their church, where Robert taught Sunday School and volunteered for Vacation Bible School. He was a very devoted husband for over 32 years.
Robert was an avid fan of football and followed local high school teams, as well as the New Orleans Saints. He was known by his family and friends as a very kind hearted and giving man who always had a funny story to tell. He had a genuine love for people and the simple blessings in life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Kay, his step-children Iola Mullen Gauley and Nicholas Mullen, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Frierson, his sister-in-law Carol Beech, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Paul Beech, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on January 24, 2026, at Picayune Funeral Home, 815 S. Haugh Avenue, Picayune, MS. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am, with funeral service beginning at 11am. Graveside service will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
