Obituary

Robert Allan Creighton, affectionately known as "Bob," peacefully departed this life on March 10, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 4, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bob devoted his life to his family, friends, and unwavering faith.

For over 63 years, Bob was joyfully married to Ann B. Creighton, their union a beautiful testament to love and partnership, nurturing a family that includes their son, Robert Creighton Jr., and his wife, Vicky; their daughter, Patrice Everett, and her husband, Michael; and Bob's beloved sisters, Linda Palazzo (Joe), Jane Brady (Tom), and Bobbie Jean Creighton, his sister-in-law. Bob took immense pride in his grandchildren: Creig Everett, Jeremy Everett, Robert Creighton III, Katie Smith, and Chad Creighton, along with his cherished great-grandchildren, Mallory, Natalie, Daniel, Elijah, Valor, and Easton, with one more on the way. The bond he shared with his grandchildren filled his life with joy and purpose.

Bob's professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence as a Heavy Equipment Operator, during which he proudly served as a union member of Operating Engineers Local 406. He further distinguished himself as the Director of Facilities at Boomtown Casino. His commitment to faith and service was evident in his role as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke's in Slidell, LA, and Most Holy Trinity in Covington, LA. As a founding charter member of the Knights of Columbus chapter at Most Holy Trinity, he exemplified how faith can guide one's life's work.

Outside of his professional life, Bob's vibrant spirit shone through his hobbies. During the COVID pandemic, he created many rosaries to give away to inspire people toward prayer.

A highlight of Bob's life was participating in the History Channel's "The Great Race" in 2001, a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Earl "Tom" Creighton; his mother, Jane Graffeo Creighton; and his brothers, Oris and Thomas Creighton. His legacy of love, laughter, and commitment to God and family will continue to inspire all who knew him. A public visitation begins at 1:30 pm at Saint Joseph Abbey in Covington, LA, on Friday, March 20, 2026, followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 pm.

He will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
