It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Xavier Lumpkin, who left us on November 18, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on June 26, 1975, Robert was a beacon of joy and kindness to everyone he met. He was known for his enormous heart, always eager to lift the spirits of those around him and never hesitating to offer a comforting word or smile.
Robert loved everyone and possessed the remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. His genuine nature shone through in everything he did; whether he was listening to music, working with his hands, or simply spending time with friends and family, his passion for life was evident. He delighted in creating memories with his loved ones, and his laughter will echo in their hearts forever.
Robert is survived by his beloved sister, Wendy Lumpkin Spencer; stepsister, Cheryl Dunaway; brother, Michael Dakota Lumpkin; his daughter, Kendra Dian; and his cherished granddaughter, Lynn Iris; his son, Taylor Lumpkin and daughter, Reagan James. He also leaves behind a loving network of family, including aunt Carla Trim and her husband, uncle Larry; uncle Bill Hansen; uncle Walter Holmes Jr. and uncle Frank; uncle Mike and aunt Babbie Holmes; uncle Matthew Holmes; aunt Robin Holmes; uncle Larry Fore; aunts Lavert Lumpkin Penton, and Sandra Lumpkin (Robert)Seal; nieces Emelia (Emee) Fitzgerald and her husband Tyler, Madison Walker, Hannah Stoltz; and nephews Trace Patterson and Sampson Spencer. He treasured his great nieces and nephews and had numerous cousins and friends who will remember him fondly.
Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter A. Holmes and Gloria J. Holmes; his parents, Homer Michael Lumpkin and Spring Joy Stoltz; his brothers, Trevor Michael Lumpkin and Seth Aaron Lumpkin; his baby daughter, Baby James; his aunt Helen Hansen; paternal grandparents: Dupuy and Leola Lumpkin; uncles: Johnny Lumpkin, Steve (Marie) Lumpkin, Clarence Penton (Junior); aunts: Ann Janet Lumpkin Mitchell, and Sue Lumpkin Fore.
Robert was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire those he left behind.
