Shirley Virginia Goss, age 83, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022.
Shirley was a lifetime resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a member of TOPS, Director of Triple L, a poll worker, and she loved to travel and visit.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth A. Goss (Kim) and Denson Goss (Flora); one daughter, Scarlett Mitchell Jarrell (Sonny); two sisters: Betty Stanford and Verla Jones (Lamar); seven grandchildren: Kristopher Goss (Beth), Jess Mitchell (Michelle), Saron Henderson (Neal), Brandon Goss (Courtney), Kristen Ready (Robert), Amber Alison (Blake), and Dillon Goss (Gabbie); 19 great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Bralynn, Scarlett, Park, Whitman, Brayden, Eli, Rylan, Memphis, Blaine, River, Reanna, Cohen, Berkley Kate, Teller, Rhett, Anders, Hollis, and Judson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Lena Lee; her husband, George Goss; and one son-in-law, Richard B. Mitchell.
Visitation was held 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Union Baptist Church with service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Brian Tatum officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
