Stephen Lynn Flatt, known to many as "Tennessee," was born on July 13, 1969, in Crossville, Tennessee. He passed away on May 19, 2026, in Carriere, Mississippi. Steve was a man who enjoyed karaoke and shared his love of music with those around him.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Flatt, and Jeff’s partner, Whitney. For 25 years, Steve’s partner was Valerie Riley. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Flatt, Phillip Flatt, Donnie Flatt, and Tommy Lee Flatt, as well as his sisters Pamela Bryant and Nancy Carr. Stephen was a proud grandfather to Brantlee Flatt and Brayden Simmons. He also had several nieces and nephews that he loved and loved him.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Flatt; his mother, Wanda Kleinfeld; and his brother, Tom Flatt.

Steve will be remembered simply and warmly by all who knew him.
