Tony Aurthur Mitchell Sr.

Tony Aurthur Mitchell Sr., born on June 28, 1962, in Picayune, Mississippi, peacefully departed this life on August 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Tony proudly served his country for 11 and a half years in the Navy, and his dedication to service was a significant part of his life.

Tony cherished his wife, Carla Lee Mitchell, and his sons, Tony Arthur Mitchell, Jr., Curtis Earl Mitchell (Deshay), and Wyatt Ethan Mitchell. He was a loving father who relished every moment spent with his children and adored his grandchildren, Brennon, Avery (Kaidan), and Tonie, as well as his great-grandchild, Hadley.

He was the cherished son of Henry Arthur Mitchell and Linda Mae Mitchell, and he leaves behind his beloved sisters, Lesha Annette Boquet (Bobby), Eula Marie Mitchell, and Sara Lynn Stockstill (John) and brother, Scott Henry Mitchell.

In addition to those who survive him, Tony will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for the love he spread and the joy he brought into their lives.

He was predeceased by his son, Curtis Earl Mitchell.

Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love and family will continue to shine brightly in all their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 20, 2025, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church
