Velvie Maxine Busby Durapau of Picayune, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 4, 2022, at the age of 83.
Maxine was a long-time resident of Picayune and a member of Westlawn Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, James Busby, John Durapau (Danielle) and David Wayne Durapau; daughters, Kay Craddock (Eugene), Barbara Severence, Diane Smith, and Pam Russell; sisters, Elaine Pennington and Naomie Hilton; numerous grandchildren
She is preceded by her late husband, David Busby; husband, James Alvin Durapau; parents, James Basham and Ouida Watkins Basham; children, Herbert Busby, David Busby Jr, James Durapau and Brenda Lott; brothers, James Basham and Lawrence Basham; sisters, Annette Roberts, and Dorothy Haveens.
Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday July 9th with services to begin at 1:00 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery officiated by Bro. James Reeves.
Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
