Walter Roland Williams, Sr. of Houma, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 81, surrounded by family.
Walter was born February 22, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided in Buras, Louisiana the majority of his life. He found his love of boats, becoming a tugboat captain and working in the oil industry. Walter adored his family and made many memories at Burrwood Beach.
He is survived by his sons, Walter R. Williams, Jr., Lonney Williams, and Gary Williams; daughters, Amy Williams and Cherie Williams; 27 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents, Walter Albert Williams and Josephine Loar; Walter was the baby of the family and last among his eleven siblings to gain his wings.
Services will be held by family at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
