Our loving husband, father, brother and poppy went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family May 7, 2026 in Picayune, MS at the age of 86.
Will was born in Winnsboro, LA on Sept 19, 1939 and lived his final years in Picayune, MS
Will was an avid golfer at the Millbrook Country Club with a grand sense of humor. Always attempting to make you laugh and smile with him. Will played football for Istrouma High School graduating in 1957.
He proudly served in the Army Reserves and attended LSU. Will went on to a lifelong career in insurance as a General Agent.
Will is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Terrie Natal Butler, daughter, Vickie Butler Cooley (Greg) and 4 sons, Kenneth Butler ( Vicky), Brad Butler (Jill), Paul Williams (Kristi) and Christopher Butler (Melanie). Will cherished his 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren and they adored him. He is also survived by his siblings Sonia Covington (Jimmy) and Sandra Newsom.
Will is proceeded in death by his parents Sam Butler and Lovelle Gorman Butler and siblings Sam R Butler, Patsy Montgomery and Ann Lemeneger.
Visitation and funeral service will be Wednesday 13th. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm followed by services at 4:00pm at Picayune Funeral Home,
815 Haugh AVE, Picayune MS, 39466. Final resting place will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Winnsboro, La.
