Yvette Chamel Farrell

Yvette Chamel Farrell, a beloved member of her community, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 84. She was born on December 16, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Yvette was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit. Her faith was an important part of her life and brought her much joy.

Yvette was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, John F. Farrell Sr., as well as her father Horace Chamel and her mother Blanche Mille Chamel. She leaves behind her son, John F. Farrell Jr.; her sister, Edris Chamel; and her grandson, Jackson Farrell, who will deeply miss her loving presence in their lives.

Visitation for Yvette Farrell will take place on June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by her funeral service officiated by Rev. Brad Aumann at 12:00 PM at Picayune Funeral Home & Crematory, 815 S. Haugh Ave., Picayune, MS 39466. After the services, friends and family are invited to share memories and honor her life.
